Genelec Smart IP powers sound art at InfoComm China 2026
This 2026 edition, which ran from 15–17 April, filled the China National Convention Center – in Beijing’s famous Olympic Park – with the buzzing energy of its many enthusiastic and knowledgable attendees. First launched in 2002, InfoComm China is one of the country’s most attractive AV gatherings, offering valuable opportunities to network, share knowledge and learn about the industry’s finest innovations.
Making our immersive sound art experience possible, we collaborated with a series of talented local artists, all of whom we’d like to warmly thank for joining forces with us. To bring their works to life with rich, crystal-clear sound, we set up a Smart IP 5.1.4 immersive system, featuring our 4430A and 4420A wall-mounted loudspeakers as surrounds and 4436 ceiling-mounted pendant loudspeakers as height channels.

To give visitors a chance to A/B test our wall-mounted Smart IP 4410A, 4420A, 4430A loudspeakers and in-ceiling 4435A loudspeaker, we set up a cosy isolated booth for distraction-free listening. Thank you to all who offered feedback after enjoying the booth, we were delighted to hear you were particularly impressed by the sound quality of the in-ceiling loudspeaker, which seemed to exceed your expectations for architectural models.
In collaboration with our exhibition neighbour, Dante, we created a zone focussed on integrated smart office solutions, which featured a pair of 4410As and offered a chance to experience Bring Your Own Meeting (BYOM) setups involving microphones and auto-tracking cameras.
Finally, to shine a light on the high-quality 120 custom colour finishes we have available for our Smart IP and 4000 Series wall-mounted loudspeakers, we displayed a beautiful range of tones – hinting at how our solutions can smoothly incorporate into any interior design, whether bold or discreet.
